AppleはこのデータセンターにユーザーのiTunesライブラリーの音楽、ビデオをすべて移行させるクラウドコンピューティング戦略を推進中と見られている。ユーザーの音楽、ビデオなどのコンテンツがすべてこのデータセンターに記憶されるようになれば、１度購入したコンテンツをパソコン、タブレット、モバイル機器、スマートフォンなどあらゆるデバイスを使って利用できるようになる。権利関係も非常にシンプルになり、コピーワンスなどの消費者の利便性を無視した取り組みも不要になると思われる。
